I was stranded on Veterans Expressway with my 3 month old son during rush hour. We were stalled in the middle lane as cars sped by us. I was scared for the safety of my child until Rick and Carlton came and towed us to a safe location. I can’t thank the Road Rangers enough for their Kindness.

Thanks for the Road Ranger program, it’s a great service. It would have taken us about an hour to change a tire. He did it in 10 minutes or less and having the protection of his vehicle was great on I-4. Please keep this going, Thanks!

This is a fantastic service! Doug’s expertise found that my fuel pump wasn’t working properly. He was very thorough in checking why my car had stopped. It was late at night when this happened. His assistance also provided a sense of safety and security.

I had just gotten off work at 12:30am and was traveling west on I-4. I had forgotten my cell phone at work. My tire went flat, it was dark and I started to cry. The Road Rangers were there within 15 minutes. I am so glad they help me. They may have saved my life. The other cars were going by me fast and very close.

Thank you Glen and Ron!

Open Envelope  Hello,
I just wanted to let you know the road ranger service is great!
Today, I was driving westbound on I-4 around exit 65 when I experienced a flat tire. I pulled over, and was scared for my safety (another car could have hit me).  I was probably going to wait about 1 hour for my roadside assistance service when Frank Peralta stopped within less than 15 minutes, and fixed the tire for me. I was so glad he could help me…I felt safe and so thankful for his assistance.

Please don’t ever take this great service away from us. We all pay taxes and tolls, and even though I hope never have to use the service again, I am glad to know my tax dollars are being used for our community safety.

Thank you again,
F. DaSilva

I wasn't sure how to send along my feedback, but I felt it necessary to commend the Road Rangers in Florida. On a short vacation, our rental car broke down, and no sooner had we pulled over but a friendly road ranger pulled in right behind us. He speedily took care of the problem (good enough at least for us to travel to our car rental vendor to exchange the vehicle) then went on his way to deal with another emergency.

This is a brilliant service, and one I very much hope sticks around!!

We were returning from a funeral in St. Pete to Orlando, when we got a flat tire. My husband was very concerned about changing the tire on the soft gravel with the small car jack.  He was also worried about me because I was sick, 8 months pregnant, and it was freezing outside. The Road Ranger showed up immediately to help, or spare was even low so they were able to put air in it and have us on our way.

We are so grateful!

I live in Sun City Center and travel I-75 every Saturday morning to meet a lifelong friend in Temple Terrace for breakfast. Yesterday on my northbound trip I noticed one of your Road Rangers helping a lady change a tire and I though I would write and let you know what a great service I think that is. On my southbound trip home at about 10:20 AM my own car, an old Cadillac, suddenly lost power and I was stuck at the side of the road just past the I-4 exit. I called my friend and he came back to help me, however as we were looking at the engine, one of your Road Rangers (J. Williams - Truck 705) showed up and very politely tried to help us. He quickly determined what it was, but was unable to do any more for me so we called AAA for a tow. Just as the tow truck arrived Jeffrey was back staying behind us to make sure everything was okay and we were safe from on coming traffic. Please pass along my thanks and gratitude to Jeffrey and your department. That is a great service.

Thanks!

Open Envelope Pasco County Fire Rescue

I was driving home on I-4 before 50th and 21st, going west on 01/01/08 at about 8:20am, just getting off work from a local fire station when my tire blew.  I was trying to make it to the closest exit on the small shoulder of the road when someone honked at me from behind.  It was one of your Road Rangers, Nolan, who two minutes after my tire blew, when I was at least a mile and a half from the closest exit at 21st street.  Nolan got out with cars flying by me, and safely put out the cones, so the cars would go further around.  I then asked him if he had a compressor, which he replied yes sir, he then filled my tire with air, that was leaking out almost as fast as he was filling it, but looked like it would hold to the next exit.  Instead of letting me drive off, he insisted on helping me stay safe, and changed my tire to a spare that had to be lowered from below the back of my vehicle, which he safely did.  I thought my New Year was getting off to a bad start when two minutes I was rescued by a Road Ranger.  Thank you DOT and especially to Nolan, who I offered a tip, and he said no sir, we are not allowed to accept them.  Happy New Year.

Open Envelope Kudos to Florida Road Rangers

Two days ago I had a blown tire on I-95 on top of Matthew Bridge in Jacksonville. While I could change the tire myself, a Road Ranger stopped to help. He jacked up the car and aligned the spare tire to the hub. The spare tire (donut) didn't have enough pressure so he pumped more air into it. I offered him a tip, but he refused it. I am surprised Florida government has this kind service. It makes me proud to be a Floridian. My friends says "Only in America!" In other countries there would have ambulant mechanics or so called road vultures ready to prey on helpless motorists. But Florida has road angels called Road Rangers.

Thanks again.

Open Envelope Bald Eagle

On my way home tonight on I-95 in the southside of Jacksonville, I witnessed a Road Ranger at work who displayed a tremendous amount of courage. A Bald Eagle had broken its wing and ended up in the median between the north and southbound traffic. The Road Ranger had managed to keep the bird out of traffic -- preventing a serious accident during rush hour, no doubt -- and he was doing everything he could to capture the bird and keep it from wandering back into traffic. For the first time in my life, I was happy to be in a traffic jam as I witnessed that rescue operation. I wanted to send a huge thank you to the Ranger who was willing to lend a hand to this injured bird. I sincerely hope that both bird and Ranger came through the ordeal safely.

Open Envelope I95 north, near 295

This morning(10-24-07), my 17 yr. old daughter had the front of her new car destroyed by a large piece of metal debris that fell out of the back of a pickup on I95 north, near 295. In near dark, a little before 7 a.m., I was only ten minutes behind her. By the time I got to her location, the Road Ranger was already there with his lights flashing.

Operator 205, Nelson Hines, was extremely polite, professional, and empathetic with my young daughter after such a traumatic event for her; which could have easily been much worse had the debris gone through the windshield. I am very grateful he was so close by, and attentive. He called for a State Trooper, waited there with us until he came, then waited even longer until a tow truck arrived.

I travel from St. Augustine to downtown Jacksonville every morning to work and have on many occasions mentioned to my wife that while I rarely see any police, the Road Ranger trucks are always there, on I95, 295, and on Butler Blvd, changing tires, and whatever else they are equipped to do. My family wants to express our sincerest thanks to Nelson, and the D.O.T. for providing this much needed service.

Just wanted to send a quick note to thank Carlos Vidil #2432 for his prompt, and efficient roadside assistance this afternoon. I am pregnant with my 1st child, and was pretty shaken by a tire blow out on I-4 earlier today. Carlos was compassionate, and considerate, calming my nerves instantly. He arrived in less than 5 minutes from the time I put the call out, and had me back on the road soon thereafter. He even made sure I got back on the highway safely and reassuringly followed behind until I was close to my exit.

I am extremely grateful for the Road Ranger services and wish to commend Carlos for a job well done.

Open Envelope Just Visiting

Dear Dept. of Transportation,

I just returned from a stay in your lovely state for my daughter's wedding. I had such a wonderful experience and needed to send a compliment to your department. Would you please see that the appropriate person(s) receive my message?

This past Wednesday, August 15, I was returning to the condo we rented in Pompano after a day at South Beach. We were being careful about streets since some roads were closed due to the slain officer's funeral. We were in the center lane on I-95 north when our car had a blow-out and we were forced to exit quickly at Cypress Creek Rd. While trying to contact the rental car roadside service department, (without much luck) a large tow-truck pulled up behind us. I got out of the car and saw that the gentleman inside was writing on a clipboard. I approached the truck on the non-traffic side and asked him if he was writing us a ticket. He smiled and said, "No, I'm here to help you!" What a relief it was. His orange vest at that point became angel wings in my book. He was so kind and polite, doing all of the work and not letting me help put the tire with a huge hole in it back into the trunk. He didn't charge us and wouldn't even take a tip....we tried....twice. He just smiled and encouraged us to be careful and get a new rental.

I hope you can pass on my thanks with that information, but if not, please know that this Ohioan feels very blessed by your good works. (As a Buckeye, I'm still having a difficult time with those two national championships your state took from us....but that's for another letter!)

Sincerest thanks again,

 S.Taylor

Open Envelope Southbound on I-275

Just wanted to drop you a quick note and how beneficial the "Road Ranger" program is until you have to use it.  My wife and I were driving Southbound on I-275 to catch a flight out of Tampa International on Friday morning July 13th, when a left front tire totally blew at about 6:30 AM.  Our flight takes off in about 1.75 hours, the tire jack on this 2002 Tundra I think was manufactured by "Tonka" because I could not break one nut.  I was in the act of calling road service knowing that I had an hour wait if I was lucky, when one of your Road Rangers pulled up behind us.  "Damon" (did not get his last name) quickly assure us that he did not see a problem and would get us out and going.  After figuring out the Mickey Mouse spare tire gizmo, Damon replace the blown tire with the spare.  He than added the proper air pressure. We offered him a $20 tip and was refused, we insisted, he refused. We were on our way by 7:20 AM and made our flight. Realizing the upcoming State budget cuts and this program does not generate any income, it could become a target.  To cut this program would be a big mistake.  It benefits residents and tourists alike.  It does leaves a great feeling about the State after being broken down and also at the worst time. just want to thank you and if you can give "Damon" a good "pat on the back" for us, it would greatly be appreciated.

Sincerely,
 B. Kelton

I just wanted to take a moment to commend the excellent service that was provided by one of your Road Rangers. On 6/26/07, my wife had a tire blow out on I-95 North near Emerson St. She had to pull over in a dangerous spot on an overpass with very little shoulder. A Road Ranger arrived almost immediately and summoned a tow truck to take her SUV to a safer area. He followed the tow truck and then changed her tire. The gentleman (Operator 205) was professional and courteous and saved her from what could have been a dangerous situation.

Open Envelope To whom it may concern

I was in bumper to bumper traffic on I-4 @ Princeton on a Friday! I lost a hubcap (bad enough), then came a flat tire (ouch!) What to do? I have never changed a flat. I came upon a huge tractor trailer in the middle of I-4 with a Road Ranger helping the stalled vehicle. I pulled to the right hand side of the road. Fifteen minutes later Joe arrived. He was fabulous - greeted me, asked me the problem and in less than 10 minutes he had on the spare. He said “no charge” - I thought he was kidding!! He wouldn’t even take a $10.00 tip for supper. I have told so many people of my experience. I still can’t get over it!! Many, many thanks to Joe - a fabulous person - what a life saver- what a wonderful man. I can’t thank you all enough for your great service. There was also a lady cop who stopped traffic so the trailer could be hauled off. What efficiency - she was also a remarkable individual. I thank you, thank you, thank you for a job well done.

Open Envelope Polk County Road Rangers, Don Gull

I wanted to email you to express a huge Thank You to Don Gull, Road Ranger, located on I-4 Polk County, Florida What a kind, helpful, and reassuring gentleman Mr. Gall was when my vehicle had problems on the afternoon of Friday, June 22 on the I-4 interstate. Mr. Gall was very pleasant and I enjoyed chatting with him and hearing about his job as a Ranger. He truly made a bad situation manageable. We waited about 1.5 hours for a tow truck through AAA (who was not very helpful but that’s another story requiring a different type of letter.) I was most impressed by the professionalism and safety focus that Mr. Gall maintained in doing his job. Mr. Gall made it very clear that it was his responsibility to wait as long as it took for my situation to be taken care of as a matter of safety. Though I offered to wait alone several times since a tow was on the way, Mr. Gall was clear that no women or children were to be left alone on the road and only if a severe emergency situation arose would he be leaving me unattended, if then. Thank you for this program. What a wonderful safety focused program for all our Florida residents. I certainly had thought about my possible vulnerability as a victim in this situation which prompted me not to stop when my vehicle problems began. Unfortunately, I was not able to make it to the next exit. Mr. Gall made sure that no harm came my way. Again, thank you and a special “hats off” to Don Gall for a job more than well done!

Open Envelope Jacksonville Road Rangers, Jeff Salyers

Hi, my name is Randie L. and I was writing in regards to one of your Jacksonville Road Rangers...Jeff Salyers. About 2 weeks ago I was on my way home on 95 south bound and my tire blew out right after the Fuller Warn Bridge. So there I was stuck in the middle of an extremely busy highway in Friday 5 o'clock traffic. I started walking down the side of the highway because I needed to get to a phone to call someone to come get me. Well a kind man from a cab company offered to take me to his office so I could use a phone to get everything straightened out. Well after I got to the cab office some of the gentlemen there said that since it was just my tire that was wrong with my car that they would have no problem fixing it for me to save me some money on a tow truck and other things. So in my panic mood I quickly said yes because all I wanted was to get my car out from the side of the highway in rush hour traffic. In the midst of the men from the cab company trying to help me one of them was VERY, and I mean VERY eager to get in my car by himself and drive it down to Phillips Highway (so it would be safer for him to change my tire) even if it meant the ruining of my rim. Just when the men tried to get my keys from me a Road Ranger appeared and stopped to assist me. He told the gentlemen that he could take it from there and told them they could leave. After that he was very kind and called a tow truck so they could tow it to a safer place for him to change my tire and get me on my way. Needless to say, if it wasn't for Jeff showing up at the right place and right time...I would probably have had to file my car for being stolen...he was indeed a very courteous and helpful in the situation and helped calm my nerves down a lot.   I just wanted to write to whom ever and let you know that I think your Road Rangers are amazing people and because of people like Jeff, that Jacksonville is a little bit safer on the roads and off. So thank you from the depths of my heart for having such great people work for you. The world needs more people like Jeff Salyers.

Thank you for your time. I hope you have an amazing day.

Open Envelope Orlando Road Rangers

June 5, 2007

To Whom It May Concern,

I work in the Wachovia Bank Building, 10th floor, at the I-4 exit 83 B. At approximately 3:45pm I turned to view the traffic flow out my window. I observed a Road Ranger vehicle pull up behind a stopped RV / motor home. He approached the motor home, to assess the occupant's needs I assume. I saw him use a cell phone / walkie talkie. He was quick to place orange cones to direct the oncoming traffic away from the motor home and tow car. An Orlando Police cruiser pulled in behind the Road Ranger. A small dark car had parked in front of the motor home (partially obscured from my view because of a tree). The Road Ranger approached that vehicle also. The Orlando Fire Department Engine 101 arrived very quickly. From my view point it became apparent that there were now 2 incidents the Road Ranger was covering when the fire department had to divide their personnel. Orlando Fire Paramedics arrived promptly, again they divided their personnel. I believe I saw a defibrillator be taken into the coach. A second Orlando Police cruiser joined the vehicle line up. The two ambulances had to transport a person from the coach and the small dark car. Before all was done - the Road Ranger was called into service again - a dark pick up truck needing a tire change. The Road Ranger had to move his truck from the rear to the front of the line up to have access to his tools. No easy task in the traffic flow at that hour of the day, neither officer offered assistance. I apologize I can not identify the Road Ranger ( Leo Wong ) - but please know he impressed a lot of us. He was involved with all 3 vehicles, remained very much in control of the scenes and was very helpful to all the support agencies (Orlando Police Department and the Orlando Fire Department).

 Sincerely,

I hope I am sending this to the correct department. I want to give a sincere, "thank you" to the State of Florida for the roadside assistance that was provided to me and my daughter sometime around 7:00 am June 29. We were visiting my parents and my parents in law who live in Naples. I was taking my daughter to the S.W. Florida Airport on I-75 and ran out of gas about two exits south of the airport exit. We were trying to figure how to get my daughter to her flight on time and not coming up with many options when a roadside assistance vehicle from the State of Florida pulled in behind us. The gentleman was very helpful; he gave us enough gas to make it to the next station and my daughter made it to her flight on time. Many thanks for providing this service.

Here's My Story!!!!!!
I drive the B-Line from Orlando to Cape Canaveral every day.leaving my house about 5:30-6:00 AM and my drive back starts about 6:00 PM.so needless to say I am on the road! Traveling many miles every week.I feel at ease knowing.THE ROAD RANGERS ARE ON THE JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I always see them on the road and I cheer every time I see them saying "Yeah, for the road rangers!". I even have my little nephew cheering every time he sees them when we drive.
I have been lucky everyday for the past two years driving the b-line.I have had no need for the Road Rangers UNTIL this past Monday, February 7th. I was a little later than usual driving the b-line.it was 6:30am.I was driving my girlfriends car going east just past Jetport Drive.as a closed-box truck (either dropped or ran over) propelled a plank of steel (about 3 ½ feet long, 2" x 4" wide) hurling it like a torpedo into my windshield, smashing the windshield, rolling off the car smacking the fender, crashing the support that runs along the side and down the windshield, smashed the passenger mirror crumbling it to bits hanging off the car.boy was that a good-morning-how-do-you-do! BUT THE MIRACLE IS I CAME OUT OF THIS ACCIDENT UNHARMED. So, you are probably wondering where the Road Rangers come in.well, I called FHP and because I wasn't hurt and they had other calls it took them a while to get to me.I called my friend to tell her the news. and I sat on the side of the road for about 1 ½ hours waiting for FHP.as I waited.THE CAR BATTERY DIES OUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!! All I could do now is chuckle and shake my head. So I had to call my friend back.she called AAA and she had to be with the car for them to jump it..so she drove across town to meet me. The FHP came and as he began his paperwork..the ROAD RANGER came to our rescue. AAA was cancelled (waited for them 1 hour up to this point) anyway...and "ALLEN" the Road Ranger was the best! As Allen realized the reason why I was stopped was not only for the dead battery, but for the incident that caused me to stop.the steel plank.which before I even described it he stated he removed a twisted 3 ½ feet long, 2" x 4" wide piece of steel from the road.I was amazed.I am still amazed.
Anyway.I just had to share my story.or I should say my ordeal with you.
I am grateful and appreciate the services.
THANK YOU for your help and hard work and efforts keeping the Road Rangers on the job!
Hats off to you and the crew that makes the ROAD RANGERS services a safeness that is PRICELESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sincerely Grateful and ALWAYS cheering for the ROAD RANGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

To whom It may concern,
I can't say ENOUGH great things about the Road Ranger program the State of Florida offers on its highways.
Last Wednesday on I-95 I was traveling near Sarasota at night with my 70 yr old aunt on vacation from Texas . We hit a brick on the highway that destroyed my tire, I tried roadside assistance number thats suppose to be nationwide, the number didn't work in Florida. We started praying and up drove Kathy our angel of mercy. **** I wouldn't hesitate to take another trip to Florida due to the extra security I feel knowing your State works hard at keeping all motorist safe.*******

I tried to tip him and he says "no, no, ma'm, this is my job"!! Hats off to him, my nightmare turned out to be very pleasant thanks to him!
By the way his name was Michael Green driving vehicle 265 today Aug. 11th at approx. 2:30, I give him a big at a boy!! God Bless him!

Open EnvelopeTHANK YOU !

In our auto emergency on I-4 and Colonial Dr ( Hwy 50 in Orlando ) one of your Road Rangers stopped to offer assistance to my daughter and grandaughter while enroute taking my wife and I to the Orlando airport. He was very polite and offered to contact towing service after it was determined that was the best option.
In our distractions in contacting friends and family for alternate transportation we forgot to get his name and say "THANK YOU" for stopping. It made us feel more secure during the Orlando rush hour. Please convey our thoughts to him. I am hoping you can determine from record logs who the gentleman was. The time was about 6:20 pm on Wednesday, June 02, 2004. Our vehicle was a green Volkswagen Passat. Tennessee ( TDOT ) also has emergency roadside assistance vehicles that have been well received by stranded motorists.

Thanks again for your assistance and we made our flight back to Nashville.

Open EnvelopeThanks... you guys are great!!!

I just wanted to send a Thank you to the Road Rangers. My husband broke down this morning and received help from a Road Ranger named Bill. He was courteous and very helpful. He got my husband back on the road and back to work. It's great to see with all the taxes we pay we have this wonderful service available to us when we are in need. It makes paying all the taxes we pay a little bit easier.

Thanks again, you guys are great!!!

Open EnvelopeGrateful that the Road Rangers run up and down the highway !

I'm 19 years old and quite capable of changing my own tires, but when it is dark and there is not a whole lot of people out on the road, it can be a little nerve-racking. I drive an older vehicle which has an old bumper jack, something I am not fond of using. I travel the interstate quite often during the wee hours of the morning and I am so grateful that the Road Rangers run up and down the highway.
Shortly after I had pulled off about 3 miles away from Exit 240 on I-75, a Road Ranger pulled up behind me and offered his help. I gladly accepted and he changed my tire for me. I can not remember the last time I was so relieved to have some help, but I appreciate it. I remember his name was John. Many thanks to John and the Road Rangers who run all over the interstate system.

Open EnvelopeKeep up the good work !

I would like to thank the state of Florida and all who work to make the Road Ranger program such a success. Last July as my son and I were returning to St. Petersburg from Punta Gorda pulling a boat, one of the trailer tires blew. Since we didn't have a spare, we unhitched the trailer and removed the tire and my son drove to the next exit to find a tire repair shop while I stayed with the boat. I must say it is very strange to be sitting on the side of the interstate helpless watching cars and trucks flying past. My son called later to say the tire was fixed and he was on the way back. Shortly after, a Highway Patrol trooper pulled over to make sure everything was ok and when I told him my son had called and was on the way back, he continued on. Right as my son pulled up, a Road Ranger pulled in behind us and, with the proper equipment, had the tire mounted in no time and we were on the way. That was my first experience and I was very appreciative.
Last Sunday (April 18), I received a call from Don who said he was a Road Ranger and had found a bag containing my boat and trailer registrations and bill of sale lying on the side of I-275. We had taken the boat down to Fort Desoto Park on Saturday and the plastic bag containing those documents somehow blew out of the compartment where I had it stored. Don noticed the bag as he was cruising the interstate and on the next trip around, stopped to check it out. He found my telephone number on the bill of sale and called me and I met him to retrieve the documents. I still would not have missed that bag and might have never got it back had it not been for Don's alertness. It's amazing to see the numbers of people who have been assisted through this program. Thank you again to the state for sponsoring such a program and all those who have a part in making it the success that it is.

 Keep up the good work.

Open EnvelopeThank you, thank you ! Thank you, thank you, for the Road Rangers, who rescued me last night when I had a tire blowout on I-75 near Arvida Parkway during a blinding rainstorm. AAA said they wouldn't be able to come for 90 minutes. George (he didn't reveal his last name) showed up out of nowhere and changed my tire. He was friendly and courteous and I was on my way in 30 minutes. "I'm just doing my job," he said. I have distributed copies of the card he gave me to everyone I know. Please continue this wonderful service!

Sincerely,

Open EnvelopeMost valuable service !
I want to take the time to thank the Florida Department of Transportation and LYNX for sponsoring the Road Ranger Program! At times, we read in the Orlando Sentinel what is wrong with the public transportation systems and a lot has been written about the slow response of the other LYNX services. How the disabled have to wait for hours to be picked up and taken to their appointments, for example.
Now, I want to commend all for the Road Ranger Service on I-4. At 4:20pm on Friday, February 28th, I was on I-4 one mile west of the John Young Parkway exit, eastbound, when a van driving along side pointed at my right front tire, indicating a problem. I immediately pulled off the road so not to cause an accident and as expected my tire was completely flat. I called my husband to notify him of the problem and since he wasn't home, I left a message.
At 4:35pm, when he returned my call, the Road Ranger had seen my disabled vehicle and pulled behind me. He was already in the process of putting on my spare tire. When the Road Ranger arrived, he cautioned me to stay in my vehicle. I popped the trunk and he proceeded to retrieve the spare and started to work. A second Road Ranger stopped to assist him. At 4:45pm, the car was road worthy and I was on my way home. I am so thankful to Richard (Camacho), the Road Ranger and also the second Road Ranger who stopped to assist and whose name I failed to ask for.
It can be frightening to be stranded on the side of I-4 with vehicles zooming past you at high rates of speed! Again, thanks to Richard, the second Road Ranger, LYNX and the Florida Department of Transportation for this most valuable service! I wanted to compensate the Rangers, but they were very emphatic that they provided a FREE service.

Open EnvelopeRoad Angels !
I am a frequent user of the I -95 between Palm Beach and Dade County and so far I have not required the use of your" Road Rangers" as yet, I think your crew's should be called the' Road Angels' for I am sure that what they appear to be to some stranded motorist on the side of the road. At time I have seen these Angels on accident scene before F.H.P. and other rescue Departments arrive doing their job with Dedication and True Professionalism .I would like to commend your Department for coming up with this program.

Thank you.

Open EnvelopeA pleasant experience !
I would like to tell you of an problem that my husband and I experienced. We were driving back from Fort Lauderdale Sat. Feb. 7th when our truck blow a back tire. Not knowing who to call, (not being from the area) I called 911 and asked for road assistance expecting to be given to the local towing service. I was pleasantly surprised when one of your road rangers appeared. The truck was no. 403 and he was a very pleasant gentleman who bantered with us while he took the spare off (that hadn't been off in 11 years) filled it with air, and changed out the poor tire that gave its all. He charged us nothing and was a delight in day that could have gone from bad to worse. I would like to thank you and that special road ranger for he's kind service. This is perhaps one of the best programs I feel the state had implemented. We do not have this in Brevard County where we live, but I would love to see it state wide. Thank you for your and your road rangers time.
Sincerely,
Donna and David Fortner

Open EnvelopeRescue on bridge ! Today one of your trucks came to the aid of my daughter-in-law on the Howard Frankland Bridge between St. Pete and Tampa. She had had a blow out and the Road Ranger that stopped changed her tire. For that I would like to say thank-you very much!! She offered the gentleman a tip, which he refused. Does your organization accept donations? If so, my husband and I would like to put you on our list. If not, please pass along our grateful thanks for today and know that it makes us feel better that your organization is out there to help.

Open EnvelopeCourteous and quick service!
Wanted to drop a line to let you know I received wonderful assistance from the Lynx Road Rangers. A special thank you goes to Mr. Chuck Jones. I was on my way to the office when I got a flat tire near the 408 Expressway. I had only been waiting for about 5 minutes, when he pulled up behind me and offered some help. He was courteous and quick, the entire experience only held me up 15 minutes. Thank you again.
