Central Office - Location Surveying & R/W Mapping

Responsible for developing standards and procedures for the performance of the FDOT Group 8 - Surveying and Mapping Work Types of Geodetic Control Surveys, Design Surveys, Right of Way Surveys, Photogrammetric Mapping and Right of Way Mapping. Responsible for the qualification of consultants performing Group 8 work types on FDOT Projects. Geographic Mapping

The Geographic Mapping section consist of two groups, GIS/CADD Services and Images Services. GIS/CADD Services produces the County General Highway Maps and the Florida Official Transportation Map. Administration

Provides statewide oversight for the administrative, product and service support for Florida's transportation system. This support includes the statewide administration of all facilities surveys, which involves providing policies, procedures, guidelines, research, development and training for all surveying and mapping activities.
