The Aerial Surveying Section is the custodian of the Departments aerial photography (aerials) archive. This archive is primarily comprised of aerials produced for the Department by the Surveying & Mapping Aerial Surveying section or outside consultants. We also have a large selection of aerial photography produced by the Agricultural Stabilization and Conservation Service (ASCS), US Department of Agriculture. Our archive spans from the early 1940's to the present and consist of both small and large-scale aerial photography. Our coverage varies from county to county therefore data may not always be available.
Currently the archive consists of over 700,000 film negatives. We are in the process of scanning these negatives to produce digital images. There's currently 450,000+ corresponding or new digital images in the collection.

NOTE: Not all images are readily available.
