State Materials Office
Overview
Welcome to the Florida Department of Transportation's (FDOT) State Materials Office. Although physically located in Gainesville, Florida, the State Materials Office is organizationally established under the Office of Highway Operations in the FDOT's Central/Tallahassee Office. The State Materials Office is a fully accredited laboratory under the American Association of State Highway and Transportation Officials Accreditation Program and the International Organization for Standardization/International Electro-Technical Commission 17025. The State Materials Office sets policies and procedures for the State of Florida's Materials Program, which is carried out at the district level, under the direction of the District Materials Offices.
