Q1: Can validation be automatic since it is essentially a facsimile (rubber stamping)?
A1: Validation is the last stage of the sample life cycle that data entry personnel get a chance to review the sample and test data. LIMS allows level 2 users to make changes to some of the test data before passing the sample to the Approval stage and losing sample custody. For this reason, Validation will not be automated.
