Contact your District Estimates Coordinator for details and access information on the web based LRE Program.

Cost Per Mile Models

The Cost Per Mile Models contained herein are generic; they are intended for reference purposes only and are not intended to be used to predict future construction costs. Their use is discretionary, and FDOT claims no responsibility for the misuse of these models.

NOTE: The Cost Per Mile Models will be moving to an April/October update schedule. Contact the LRE Administrator for additional information.


Multi-year cost trends graphs are available for the cost per mile models.


Tress Classes

The above courses may be offered in various formats, to meet the needs of the student. Formats include:

  • Classroom style training, onsite in the district office. This format includes instructor led overview, in-class examples, sample project(s), and question/answer period. The training lasts approx. 6 hours. Max attendees based on district training room computer stations.

  • Webinar style training, online. This format includes instructor led overview and question/answer period. Students are encouraged to complete the examples and sample project(s) on their own. Training lasts approx. 3 hours. Max attendees is 6 per session, to allow for discussion throughout training. 

  • (Under development) Directed Individual training, online/teleconference. This format includes a self-guided overview. Students are required to complete examples and sample project(s), prior to being authorized to work on official projects. Training time varies.
