What We Do

Industry Review A review of and comments on each proposed modification to the FDOT Specifications, posted in redline strikethrough format during each modification's  four week Industry Review period. Each file also has a link to the Origination Form, providing background for the proposal. Whether you are an FDOT employee or one of our Industry Partners (such as Contractors, Vendors, Design Consultants, CEI Consultants, Academicians), your input and comments are vital to our process. Track the Status
of
Proposed Revisions
Use this link to review and track the status and history of proposed revisions. Following the Industry Review phase of each file in process, documentation of the Specification Development Process is posted here as it becomes available. Documents include the Origination Form and Industry Review Draft, Comments received from Industry Review, the Originator’s Response to those Comments, the Draft sent to FHWA, and the Final Draft with scheduled Implementation
Specification Development Procedure A review of the FDOT standard procedure, outlining the process used for the development and implementation of new or modified Specifications and related pay items.
