University of South Florida "Bulls Walk and Bike Week"
The “USF Bulls Walk and Bike Week: Walk Wise, Bike Smart and Drive Carefully”, a four-day bicycle and pedestrian safety initiative, kicks off Monday, Sep 10 at 9 a.m. in the Marshall Student Center (MSC) Amphitheater. Following the kick-off, students will join university and private sector executives in a “Walk with the Bulls” around the USF campus. On Thursday at noon, the initiative will end at with a bicycle celebration event in the MSC.
The four day event is being conducted by FDOT's USF partner, the Center
for Urban Transportation Research (CUTR) to promote bicycle, pedestrian and motoring safety in the USF area.
In 2010, 40 pedestrian and bicycle related crashes occurred within 1.5 miles of the USF campus.
