On Forsyth near Main, the old and new transit systems meet. One by one the "Motor Transit Company" replaced the electric trolley cars. From February 28, 1933 until 1936, only the Kings Road and la Villa lines ran, and then only during rush hours. Jacksonville soon became the nation's largest city with no rail transit.
