| The Orlando Municipal Airport was
established in 1928. At the time, it encompassed 300 acres and was used for mail and
passengers. The photo shows one of the two Florida Motor Line buses that made the run
between Orlando and Jacksonville. Today it is the Orlando Executive Airport, a general
aviation facility that is operated by the Greater Orlando Aviation Authority. Both private
and corporate aircraft facilities are available on its 1,056 acres with 4,090 based
aircraft. |
