US 19 at US 98
  • At US 98 and US 19, the contractor will remove the free flow (curved) right turn lane from westbound U.S. 98 to northbound U.S. 19 and replace it with a dedicated right turn lane that is controlled by the traffic signal. At the Chassahowitzka National Wildlife Refuge, located north of U.S. 98 (Ponce DeLeon Blvd.), the contractor will widen the median opening at the maintenance entrance, install a new dedicated left turn lane from northbound U.S. 19 to the maintenance entrance and install a new dedicated right turn lane from southbound U.S. 19 to the maintenance entrance.
