Local Agency Program Training
The Production Support Office is in the process of developing a
comprehensive training plan that will include information for all areas that
the LAP impacts.
Computer Based Training
The purpose of this Local Agency Program (LAP)
BizWeb training it to show LAP participants
how to:
- Request a Local Agency Login Code and Password
- Set up a Local Agency Agreement and Contract
- Report Anticipated Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE)/ Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) Participation.
Please note that only MBE payments for MBEs certified by the Office of Supplier Diversity should be reported.
MBEs certified by a local city or county should not be reported in the BizWeb system.
- Report DBE/MBE Payments for prime and sub-contractors or sub-consultants.
Local Agency Program training is available via computer
based training (CBT). This CBT consists of 3 lessons common to
all FDOT and Local Agency personnel. Topics include,
certification, project selection and LAP Agreements.
The
National Highway Institute (NHI) has several training courses available,
many of which are free of charge.
This link is to their training catalog listing. The Introducing Highway
Federal-Aid, Real Estate Acquisition Under the Uniform Act: An Overview,
Local Public Agency Real Estate Acquisition, and Introduction to NEPA and
Transportation Decision-making, courses are particularly beneficial to the
Local Agency Program community. Each of these courses are free of charge.
