1. NCHRP Reports
   • Traffic Enforcement Strategies for Work Zones - This report presents guidance for the safe and effective deployment of traffic enforcement strategies in work zones on high-speed highways.
   • A Transportation Guide for All-Hazards Emergency Evacuation - This report focuses on the transportation aspects of evacuation, particularly large-scale, multijurisdictional evacuation.
2. The Influence of the Internet on Travel - This report highlights how internet users and nonusers travel differently in Florida.
3. Americans' Views on their Communities, Housing, and Transportation - This report looks at residents’ interest in compact development and at the different demands for communities and transportation by age and other variables. It analyzes the influence that growing demographic groups in the U.S. will have on reshaping urban growth patterns by spurring more development of compact, mixed-use communities with reliable, convenient transit service.
4. 2013 "Travel Like a Local" Summer Travel Survey - This report summarizes survey results of Americans, who plan to travel this summer to a major city, on their potential use of public transportation, the reasons behind their decision to use public transportation, and the importance of the availability and affordability of public transportation.
5. Effects of a Carbon Tax on the Economy and the Environment - This study examines how a carbon tax, combined with alternative uses of the revenues, might affect the economy and the environment.
6. Miscellaneous Reports
   • Observational Study of Cell Phone and Texting Use among California Drivers 2012 and Comparison to 2011 Data - This survey analyzes California’s cell phone use behaviors, focusing on mobile device use and compares it to 2011 survey data.
   • Human Factors in Road Design (Login Required) - This report reviews design standards of nine countries to see whether human factors needs and limitations of road users are incorporated. Best practices and principles are included.
   • Lessons Learned from Greening America’s Capitals Projects: Five Helpful Hints for Communities Wanting to Be Greener - This pamphlet describes five lessons from the first two rounds of projects that can help all communities incorporate green design strategies into their planning and development.
