  1. Curbing Teen Driver Crashes: An In-Depth Look at State Initiatives - This report takes an in-depth look at what states are doing to address teen driver safety in six key areas:
    • Strengthening GDL laws to ensure states have essential elements that address crash risk and skill building;
    • Ensuring understanding and enforcement of GDL laws by law enforcement officials;
    • Engaging parents in understanding, supporting and enforcing GDL laws;
    • Strengthening driver education and training;
    • Engaging teens in understanding and addressing driving risks; and
    • Garnering consistent media coverage of teen driving.
  2. Banking on Infrastructure: Enhancing State Revolving Funds for Transportation - This policy brief examines the history and background of the state revolving funds across infrastructure modes. It analyzes spending patterns to determine what kinds of projects are financed, which states are most active and innovative, and where projects are located.
  3. What's Youth Got to Do with It? Exploring the Travel Behavior of Teens and Young Adults - This report explores the travel behavior differences between the youth and the adult, examines the basic determinants in youth travel behavior and determines whether they are likely to travel differently in the future.
  4. Aligning Strategies to Maximize Impact: Case Studies on Transportation and Economic Development - This study highlights case studies where transportation planning efforts are linked with economic development strategies in a regional context.
  5. Losing Ground: The Struggle of Moderate-Income Households to Afford the Rising Costs of Housing and Transportation - This report gauges the housing and transportation cost burdens of moderate income households living in the 25 largest metro areas at the end of the decade. It assesses the impact on combined costs of the rapid rise and fall of home prices during the 2000s, the recent rebound in rents, and the nation’s increased suburbanization over the past decade.

    • DC: The WalkUP Wake-Up Call - The Nation’s Capital As a National Model for Walkable Urban Places - This analysis ranks the economic performance and social equity of the WalkUps in the DC area, and discusses findings and implications for developers and society as a whole.
    • The Bridge - Linking Engineering and Society - This volume focuses on the question, “How can social science inform engineering practice?” It discusses the increased complexity of the relationship between social science and technological systems, looks at how the general public evaluates risky technologies, and uses the case-study methodology to investigate instances where the engineering and social dimensions were tightly coupled.
