  1. A Guidebook for Nighttime Construction: Impacts on Safety, Quality, and Productivity - This guidebook provides nighttime construction best practices concerning 1) implementation of new or innovative ideas to convert necessary work activities to effective nighttime production; 2) proven safety processes; 3) development of communication strategies (both external and internal); and 4) work-zone illumination methods, including a list of new and innovative lighting equipment with associated advantages and disadvantages.
  2. Looking Back and Moving Forward: Creating a Legacy of Sustainable Transportation in an Evolving Field - This paper documents the incremental changes in municipal planning and transportation departments that have enabled transformation, and it provides a blueprint for other agencies that seek to spur similar changes in their own cities.

    • Reduction of Construction Time and Cost of Road Pavements - This report describes a list of methods in reducing construction time and costs, analyses them and provides a number of case histories.
    • Financing, Contracting and Managing of Road System Investment - This report provides information on the current methods and approaches relating to: the different combinations of public and private sector involvement in the provision of sustainable road systems and the perceived advantages and disadvantages of these methods; the different approaches employed for funding and financing of sustainable road systems; and the various forms of procuring private sector involvement in the maintenance and operations of sustainable road systems and the perceived benefits and dis-benefits of novel methods against the more traditional forms of maintenance and operations.
