1. Transportation and the New Generation: Why Young People Are Driving Less and What It Means for Transportation Policy - This report documents the many ways in which young people are changing their transportation behavior and their desires for the future and argues that many of those changes are here to stay.
2. Young Drivers Report the Highest Level of Phone Involvement in Crash or Near-Crash Incidences - This research note analyzes cell phone use and distracted driving for young drivers from the December 2011 survey.
3. Keeping Seniors Safe and Mobile: An Evaluation of a Local Drive Test Option - This study evaluates the safety and mobility consequences of the offering of local drive tests to older drivers in Iowa.
4. Ready or Not: An Evaluation of State Climate and Water Preparedness Planning - This report provides a state-by-state assessment that specifically focuses on how state governments are planning and preparing for the water-related impacts of climate change.
5. Multimodal Transportation Indicators - This research discusses indicators which fall under two broad categories: those that provide context about the economy and society in which transportation functions, and those that convey information about an aspect of transportation.
6. Miscellaneous Reports
   • Responding to the change in how infrastructure is developed - This forum discussed ways in which to respond to the change in how infrastructure is developed by bringing together key industry leaders, elected officials, clients and HNTB professionals to discuss issues and potential solutions.
   • Preparing for a Changing Climate: Washington State’s Integrated Climate Response Strategy - This document describes how existing and new state policies and programs can better prepare Washington to respond to the impacts of climate change and makes recommendations to the state.
   • Preliminary Analysis of the Jobs and Economic Impacts of Renewable Energy Projects Supported by the §1603 Treasury Grant Program - This report provides a preliminary analysis of the gross impacts of the solar photovoltaic and large wind projects supported under the §1603 grant program rather than precise forecasts of the national economic and job-related impacts from these projects.
   • Regional Resilience - This report summarizes recent research on disaster resiliency to provide a framework for regional development organizations to address the capacity and vulnerability challenges faced when engaging community resources following a disaster.
