  1. Using Public-Private Partnerships to Carry Out Highway Projects - This study assesses the role of public- private partnerships in providing highway infrastructure. It focuses on whether such partnerships might provide additional financing for highways and build them more quickly or at a lower cost.
  2. Development of a Prototype Land Use Model for Statewide Transportation Planning Activities - This study uses cellular automata models to capture the spatial relationships of land development as well as agglomeration factors.
  3. Analysis of the Proximity of Fatal Motor Vehicle Crash Locations to the Availability of Helicopter Emergency Medical Service Response - This research note examines fatal motor vehicle crash locations in relation to the coverage area of helicopter-based EMS and is a first step towards a better understanding of the contributions of EMS and AACN to reducing the injury severity outcome of motor vehicle crashes.
  4. Air Quality Community of Practice: Public Education Programs State-of-the-Practice - This report focuses on state DOT programs that help inform and educate the public on transportation and air quality issues, challenges for meeting the objectives of these programs, and research needs.
