About

In 2002, the Florida Department of Transportation began working with its partners to develop the Strategic Intermodal System (SIS), a transportation system that will enhance Florida's economic competitiveness. In 2003, the Florida Legislature enacted a law establishing the system and in 2004 implementation efforts began with the SIS Connector Projects. The Systems Planning Office, along with other FDOT offices, will continue to work on implementing the system. Please visit often to see our progress.
