Public workshops were held from January 12, 2004 to February 2 around the state to receive input from FDOT partners and the public on
proposed methodologies and components for the initial SIS Strategic Plan. Public workshop comments and other comments that were received
before Feb. 9, 2004 were considered in the development of the Draft SIS Strategic Plan that was presented to the 2004 Florida Legislature.
After an introductory session (plenary), workshop participants will be directed to three workstations for background presentations and discussion of these specific topics:
Rural Workshops - Workshops held in Sebring, Lake City and Chipley will use a modified agenda with a roundtable discussion format rather than workstation sessions. The discussion at these
rural workshops will focus on how the SIS can address transportation and economic development concerns of rural areas. (Sebring agenda).
