The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) announces the adoption of the 2010 Strategic Intermodal System (SIS) Strategic Plan.
The plan sets policies to guide decisions about which facilities are designated as part of the SIS, where future SIS investments should occur,
and how to set priorities among these investments given limited funding. The plan provides guidance for the more than $9 billion FDOT anticipates investing
in expanding the capacity of the SIS through its Work Program during fiscal years 2011 through 2015, as well as billions more anticipated to be invested in the SIS
by federal agencies, local governments, transportation authorities, and private sector owners and operators of SIS facilities. The plan also guides FDOT and partners
in identifying and setting priorities for investment needs over the next 25 years.
November 24, 2009 - The Draft 2010 SIS Strategic Plan and the Proposed Designation Criteria and Threshold Changes are now available for comments.

December 19, 2008 - The first meeting of the 2010 SIS Strategic Plan Update Leadership Committee will be held January 26-27, 2009, at the Embassy Suites Orlando, - International Drive/Convention Center, 8978 International Drive, Orlando. The meeting will begin at 1:00 p.m. on January 26, 2009 and adjourn approximately noon on January 27, 2009.
December 15, 2008 - A new Web site is opened as a central source of information during the update of Florida's Strategic Intermodal System Plan. This site will be used to keep all interested residents, businesses, agencies and transportation providers informed of significant developments during the update of the plan and opportunities to provide input.
