The American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009 (ARRA) provided funding for transportation projects in Florida. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) worked in cooperation with federal and local agencies, contractors, consultants and others to deliver projects as quickly as possible.

Fast Facts

 

  • Highway and Bridge - 680 Projects were implemented using an Accelerated Schedule.
  • Transit - 172 projects totaling $316 million were implemented.
  • Airports - 22 projects totaling $55.5 million were implemented - as of 2/22/10.
