The 2007 results of the five statewide improvement areas are compared with those of the base year below. The base year for most areas was 2000. Two improvement areas had a base year of 2004: local government input on statewide plans and FDOT feedback regarding local input on roadway priorities.

  • Nighttime visibility of roadway striping and markings: No significant change (69% vs. 67% in 2000)
  • Access to business during construction: Sustained improvement (58% vs. 51% in 2000)
  • Timeliness of completing construction: No significant change (41% vs. 39% in 2000)
  • Local government input on roadway design: Increased satisfaction (76% vs. 65% in 2000)
  • Local government input on statewide plans, input on roadway priorities, and FDOT feedback re local roadway priority input
    • Local government input on statewide plans: Improved satisfaction (76% vs. 71% in 2004)
    • Local input on roadway priorities: No significant change (72% vs. 73% in 2000)
    • FDOT feedback regarding local input on roadway priorities: Improved satisfaction (66% vs. 62% in 2004)
