LAP Workshop
August 20th, 2013 9:00 AM – 4:30 PM - District 1-HQ, Mike Rippe Auditorium
The Local Agency Program (LAP) workshop provides an opportunity to learn Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) LAP requirements. Local Agency partners will have the opportunity to hear from and speak with presenters from the FDOT Central Office, District Office, and Local Governments. The workshop provides both a policy overview and tackles general project issues. Learn how other Local Governments are overcoming the challenges of LAP. Learn what streamlining measures exist to assist your government. Learn about new processes that can save you time and money.

Intersection Design BT-05-0099 (0035)

Identify critical intersection features related to traffic operation, layout and profiling; Develop initial engineering details by following a logical process for designing major intersections; and, receive practical exposure to intersection design by completing "hands-on" exercises using CADD and

At the conclusion of this course, participants will understand the impact of the ADA on pedestrian facilities with public rights of way. They will be able to identify accessible facilities, inaccessible elements and features, and be able to recommend corrections or upgrades to provide pedestrian accessibility in compliance with the ADA regulations and standards.
