The Construction Management Development Program and Bond Guarantee Program (CMDP-BGP) is offering classroom instruction for the 2012-13 Program year. These classes are to assist the business owner and/or officers perform successfully on FDOT contracts.

The Department has submitted a proposal to the Federal Highway Administration in the amount of $150,000 for On-the-Job Training Supportive Services (OJT/SOW) funding. The FFY 2012 Instructions and Guidelines document for the OJT Supportive Services funding proposal is available for review. Please click the link below.

The Business Development Initiative (BDI) is designed to support the Department's efforts to increase competition, lower prices, and increase support to meet its contracting needs over the next 10 years.

Professional services, construction projects, and design-build projects must comply with the following restrictions:

Professional Services contracts acquired under FS 287.055:
Federally funded BDI reserve projects must be under $500,000
State funded BDI reserve projects must be under $500,000
NOTE: Preference points will not be employed as a contracting strategy for BDI contracts.

Construction and Design-Build contracts acquired under FS 337.11:
Federally funded BDI reserve projects must be under $500,000
State funded BDI reserve projects must be under $500,000
NOTE: Low Risk Design-build projects can be reserved for the BDI.
