The new rule allows a firm certified in its "home state", where its principal place of business is located, to present its certification application package to State B. State B will then have 60 days to determine whether it has specific objections to the firm's eligibility and to communicate those objections with particularity to the firm. The Construction Management Development Program and Bond Guarantee Program (CMDP-BGP) is offering classroom instruction for the 2012-13 Program year. These classes are to assist the business owner and/or officers perform successfully on FDOT contracts. Please click on the links below to view the flyer.
The Department submitted a proposal to the Federal Highway Administration in the amount of $150,000 for On-the-Job Training Supportive Services (OJT/SOW) funding. If funded, the Department will use this funding in support of the Construction Career Day and Job Fair events that are held throughout the state. For more information on OJT/SOW funding, please review the FFY 2012 Instructions and Guidelines document.
