I’m experiencing display problems in Microstation XM.
Dialogs appear blacked out or buttons are missing.
My screen occasionally flickers as well. What is causing this?
A:
This is a known bug between Microstation XM and Microsoft Intellimouse software.
Either uninstall the Intellimouse software, or uninstall the Intellimouse software
and install version 2.0 or lower of Intellimouse.
We are currently receiving 3 to 5 Service Desk tickets a day, as well as phone calls regarding the Registration
message that randomly occurs on select computers with FDOT2008XM loaded on them. I understand that this issue
can be remedied with a CSV file being used with the SELECT server gateway, but I also understand that there is an issue with this process and that the Bentley Development team
has been notified and that they are working on the issue.
Would it be possible for ECSO to issue an ‘Official Statement’ that we can then forward to our CADD users, advising that everything possible is being done to resolve this issue.

A:
Statement to FDOT CADD Users.
If you have a new installation of MicroStation XM, you may receive a registration message upon startup. This is perfectly normal and can simply be dismissed by clicking the “X” in the top right corner of the dialog. Ultimately, this dialog will stop appearing and go away by itself within 90 days of the installation date of MicroStation XM. Users are advised to simply ignore the dialog in the meanwhile and continue work normally.

When printing and creating postscript images in
MicroStation XM some of the line work that should be
dashed is showing up solid in the output. This occurs
mainly in arcs where there may be several points placed
closely along the element. How can this issue be
resolved?
A:
Please read this PDF Document for instructions on how to resolve this issue:
