1.2.2 - Import LandXML file
Step Description:
Import the XML file by going to the Insert Ribbon and running the LandXML command.

Once the Import LandXML dialog is open, select the Edit LandXML Settings button.
- Check to make sure it is using the correct parts list (In this example we are using DREX).
- Define what is necessary to import into the file. You won't need the CgPoints or PlanFeatures so uncheck both of them (With these checked it would bring in all the survey data and you do not need that for this exercise).
- Then decide which pipe network groups you want to bring into this file, in this case either Existing Drainage or Existing Utilities. You can even select individual pipe networks if that is necessary.
- Click OK.

Note: The Utilities can be imported to another file using this same workflow.
There will be many different events that show up in the Panorama such as Pipe Size not found. All the Pipe Sizes will be assigned as the first one in the list so it will be 0.125" and need to be changed later. There are Null Structures at the ends of the Pipe that are created by Civil 3D. These can be edited later.
