4.3.9 - Create Multiple Section Views
Step Description:
Run the Create Multiple Section Views Wizard:
  • Home tab > Profile & Section Views > Section Views > Create Multiple Views

Specify the General settings:
  • The only change that is necessary on the General settings is the Section View Style field. Select the horizontal x vertical scale that you want to use for your sheet and click Next.

Define the Section Placement settings:
  • Enable the Production placement option, and select the FDOT cross section template drawing - SHXSC.DWT.

  • Select the sheet layout by choosing the plot scale for your cross section plots, and select OK.
  • Click Data Bands from the Section View tools on the left.

Define the Data Band settings:
  • Specify the section data to be used for for Surface 1 and Surface 2 within the band properties.
  • Now you can press the Create Section Views button to plot the section views into the drawing.
  • When you exit the wizard you will be prompted to pick a location on the screen for the section views. The point you pick represents the bottom left corner of the sheets. They will be shown connected together from left to right.
  • Make sure there is room to the right of the insertion point.

Variations on this method may be implemented to display a fixed amount of sheets per RDXSRD##.DWG to control the number of cross section views per drawing. During the last step or the beginning of this step the station range can be defined to reduce the number of sample lines or section views. This will help control the size of the drawing and refresh/regen rates.
