6.1.1 - Create Corridor Object
Step Description:
Open the DSGNRD##.DWG if it is not already open.

  • Ribbon Home tab > Create Design panel > Corridor drop-down > Create Corridor

  • Select the desired alignment graphically or by pressing Enter and selecting it from a list.
  • Select the desired profile graphically or by pressing Enter and selecting it from a list.
  • Select the desired assembly graphically or by pressing Enter and selecting it from a list.
  • When prompted with the Create Corridor dialog specify the Corridor [Name] and [Description].

Edit the Corridor Parameters:

  • Set the Frequency to the desired interval for placing an Assembly (Typical Section) along the alignment and profile. (See the above image for frequency setting location.)
  • Add in any extra stations in the frequency dialog box.

  • Set the Targets - These targets could be to tie to a surface or to transition a subassembly to tie to a horizontal or vertical entity such as an alignment or profile. (See the above image for target mapping location.)

Optional Settings/Commands:
  • Add regions or split regions when different assemblies or other settings are needed for specific station ranges. Do this by either right clicking on the baseline or on an existing region respectively.

  • Click OK to create the corridor.
After creating the corridor, you can make graphical edits. Select the Corridor Object and use the grips to make the desired edits, such as changing the starting or ending points of the regions.
