2.1.3 - Add Final Labels to Alignment
Step Description:
Use the following tools to label key locations along the Alignment (intersections, culverts, etc.) as well as line, curve, and spiral annotation. There is a standard set of labels that are attached to the Alignment.
To modify the labels on an Alignment, such as stationing and curve annotation:
- Select alignment to edit
- Click on Edit Label Group in the contextual ribbon or right-click and select Edit Alignment Labels

- To add labels, select the Type of label from the list, the Style for that label type and click Add>>
- To remove labels, highlight the Type in the grid view and click the Delete icon.
- Use the Import label set to select a defined set of labels.

- Select alignment in your drawing
- Ribbon Alignment tab > Labels & Tables panel > Add Labels drop-down

Label Station/Offset - This label will stay at this specific station and offset value if the alignment is modified. When the alignment moves this label also moves.
Label Station/Offset-Fixed - This label will update the data if the alignment is changed but will not move.
Label Single Segment - Labels line, curve or spiral segments individually.
- If the segment is on a line, the bearing and distance will be labeled.
- If the segment is on a curve, the curve parameters will be labeled.
- If the segment is a spiral, the spiral parameters will be labeled.
Label Multiple Segments - Place line, curve, and spiral labels on every segment of the alignment.
- If the segment is a line, the bearing and distance will be labeled.
- If the segment is a curve, the curve parameters will be labeled.
- If the segment is a spiral, the spiral parameters will be labeled.
Label Tangent Intersection - This will annotate the extended stationing of the PI point.
Label Multi-Tangent Intersection - This will annotate the extended stationing of all PI points.
