1.3.1 - Create Corridor
Step Description:
Create a corridor that will utilize survey lines and an Existing Features assembly.

NOTE: It is expected that you have existing features represented in your current drawing or attached external reference drawings prior to creating the corridor and that these features are using the correct layers. If not, you will receive error messages indicating "Odd number of pavement lines detected (0)".

  • Go to the Ribbon Home tab > Create Design panel > Corridor drop-down > Create Corridor

  • Select the desired alignment graphically or by pressing Enter and selecting it from a list.
  • Select the Existing Ground profile graphically or by pressing Enter and selecting it from a list.
  • Select the Existing Features assembly graphically or by pressing Enter and selecting it from a list.
  • When the Create Corridor dialog displays, type in Existing Features as the corridor name. Enter a [Description] as desired.
  • Type or graphically select the starting and ending stations for the Existing Features region. This represents the actual starting and ending stations of the collected survey lines in the drawing.

  • Set the Frequency to the desired interval for the Existing Features Assembly along the alignment. Change all the Apply Assembly along tangents, curves, spirals, and profile curves to 99999. This distance is long enough so these stations are not processed.
  • Set all 'Apply Assembly At' stations to No.

  • Click on the Plus button to add individual stations. Type or graphically select the stations that Existing Feature information exists.
  • When you have added all the stations that you wish to show, right-click or press ENTER and click OK on the Frequency to Apply Assemblies dialog box.

  • Set the Target of the region to the Existing Ground surface.
