1.1.1 - Preparing Road Design Model Drawing
Step Description:
Use the FDOT Create/Edit Application to create the DSGNRD##.DWG file.

Open the drawing and reference the necessary information.

Reference the Existing Ground:
  • Below Data Shortcuts in the Prospector Toolspace > expand Surfaces > right-click the Existing Surface > select Create Reference

  • Specify the desired surface style.

Reference the Alignment:
  • Below Data Shortcuts in the Prospector Toolspace > expand Alignments > right-click the Alignment > select Create Reference

  • Specify the desired alignment styles.

Reference the Profile:
Since these are existing features, the elevation of the items is determined by the Existing Ground surface. Therefore you should reference the Existing Ground profile.
  • Below Data Shortcuts in the Prospector Toolspace > expand Alignments > expand the Alignment associated with the profile > right-click the Profile > select Create Reference
