Open the GDTMRD##.DWG if you have not already done so.
To create the surface right click on Surfaces in the Prospector tab of Toolspace and select Create Surface.
In the Create Surface dialog box enter the name for the surface being created. In this example EXIST was used as the name. Next, select the desired Style. Click OK.
Note: The Triangles 1:1 Style is often used so that you can see possible errors in the surface easily.
Next, add the Point Group to the Surface Definition.
Note: In a previous task the point data was imported into the drawing and cleaned up so that the only points in the drawing should be valid points to use in the Surface Definition.
To add the point group into the Surface Definition, go to the Prospector, expand out the EXIST Surface that was just created, and expand out the definition. Then right click on the Point Groups and click Add. Select the _All Points Point Group and click OK.
The surface definition will be updated and the surface will display based on the style that was selected.
