First, set the Coordinate System to the correct zone.
In the Settings Toolspace right click on the drawing name and select Edit Drawing Settings.
In the Units and Zone tab set the coordinate zone for where your project is located and click Ok.
Next, run the Import Survey Data command from the Home Ribbon.
Click on the Create New Survey Database button.
Name the survey database. In this example it will be named 3D.
Click on the Survey Database Settings button.
Verify all the settings but be sure the Coordinate zone is correct and Create new definitions automatically is set to Yes. Click OK.
Click the Next button to go to the Specify Data Source dialog box.
Set the Data Source Type to LandXML and then browse to the file created earlier.
Click the Next button to go to the Import Options dialog box.
Verify the settings are correct and be sure to leave the coordinate system option blank. If a different zone is selected a translation will occur and since the data and the drawing are already in the proper zone this is not necessary.
Click Finish to import the data into the survey database.
