1.3.1 - Create Survey File to Import into Civil 3D
Step Description:
In order to have data that Civil 3D will import you may need to revert to the raw survey data.

Note: If you are able to export an EFB file in the LandXML 1.2 schema you can import the data directly into Civil 3D.

In this example we only have the original EFB file that was saved in an XYZ format. Therefore, to produce a file that is properly formatted we will use CAiCE.

Launch CAiCE to import an EFB file.

Launch the XYZ Segment File to Points command by going to the File, Import Translators, From EFB menu. While running the command browse and select the desired file to import.

The data is imported into CAiCE. You have the option here to clean up the data so that you can bring only the necessary data into Civil 3D, but in this example we will clean up the data after importing to Civil 3D.

Next, run the Export Survey data to LandXML 1.2 command from the FDOT2008, ECSO Macros menu.
