4.1.1 - Create the QC Summary and Detailed Report
Step Description:
The QC Inspector tool can be launched from two different locations. It can either be opened from the FDOT2012.C3D folder or within Civil 3D.
Launch the command from either location. If you launch it from the folder, Civil 3D will automatically launch.
Note: You cannot have a drawing open that will be processed through the QC Inspector tool.
The QC Inspector tool will then display asking for the following information:
Click OK to create the Summary and/or Detailed Report. If a report was already saved in the same location you will be prompted to Overwrite the Existing Files, Increment the Filename, or Cancel. Select the appropriate option and the reports will open.

Launch the command from either location. If you launch it from the folder, Civil 3D will automatically launch.
Note: You cannot have a drawing open that will be processed through the QC Inspector tool.
The QC Inspector tool will then display asking for the following information:
- Folder to Process - The entire project folder can be selected or sub-folders can be selected. Each drawing file within the folder(s) will be processed and reported.
- Where to save the report(s) - If you toggle off the option to "Save Report to Eng_Data folder?" Another option will appear to select the location to save the report file(s). If it is toggled on, then the report(s) will be saved in the Eng_Data sub-folder.
- Is a Detailed Report Needed? - Toggle on the Detailed Report option if there is a need to see the detailed report. Leave the toggle off if only the summary is desired.
Click OK to create the Summary and/or Detailed Report. If a report was already saved in the same location you will be prompted to Overwrite the Existing Files, Increment the Filename, or Cancel. Select the appropriate option and the reports will open.
