3.3.2 - Create surface boundary using polyline
Step Description:

Create the boundary line by drawing a closed polyline around the entire surface. NOTE: Any triangle that the polyline touches will be removed after adding the boundary to the definition.

  • Type pline in the command window.
  • Create boundary line

NOTE: It is helpful to turn off Object Snap, located on the bottom task bar, for this process.

  • Prospector tab > expand Surfaces > expand [surface name] > expand Definition > right-click Boundaries > Add
  • Input [boundary name] > choose boundary type > uncheck Non-destructive breakline box

  • In the Drawing select the newly created pline boundary
  • Regen drawing


Rebuild Surface
  • Prospector tab > expand Surfaces > right-click [surface name] > Rebuild

  • Dismiss Event Viewer dialog
