2.3.8 - Control Layers

Step Description:

One method to control layers is to create Layer Filters. These filters allow you to group many layers in a common category. Once the filters are created you no longer need to sort through possibly hundreds of layers, instead you can use the filters to sort through a much smaller list.
To filter different layers:

• Ribbon Home tab > Layers > Layer Properties.

Creating a new group filter.

• Select the New Group Filter Icon.

• Insert an appropriate name for the group.

• Select the layers for the group by highlighting the desired layers in the Properties Manager.

HINT: Use the SHIFT or CTRL key to highlight multiple layers.

• Drag layers into the newly created group.
