2.3.3 - Display Options with C3D Point Groups
Step Description:

In order to utilize the extended properties embedded in the LandXML file to create Civil 3D Point Groups you must transfer Survey Point Groups from the Survey Toolspace to the C3D Prospector. Utilizing the Civil 3D Point Groups provides more tools to analyze the data, than the survey database.

  • Begin by inserting the appropriate Point Group from the Survey Toolspace into the drawing (procedure covered in previous step).

NOTE: If you would like to view all the points from the import event you would simply right-click Survey Point Groups > Insert into drawing. This will insert all points from the import event.
  • Select the Prospector tab in the Toolspace. In the Prospector tab under Point Groups the Point Group will now be listed.
