District 5 Construction
We are District 5 Construction - Special Projects, and we serve all of the local government agencies in our nine county region (Flagler, Volusia, Brevard, Seminole, Orange, Osceola, Sumter, Lake and Marion). Our staff is here to help you with the construction phase of your locally administered transportation project. These projects are new road construction, multi-lane bridges, sidewalks to schools, shared-use trails, and many others. Local Agency Program (LAP) projects are federally funded and must meet federal guidelines for procurement, construction and closeout which are very specific and require considerable documentation. We also assist with oversight of State funded projects such as Joint Participation Agreements (JPAs), Transportation Regional Incentive Program (TRIPs) jobs and all others that are funded through the FDOT.
Our goal is to help you navigate state and federal regulations, receive timely reimbursements and benefit from the Department's quality assurance role in the field; all while producing a safe and high quality project, culminating with successful closeout.
