Florida Highway Patrol, (FHP), Hireback on District One Construction
Projects
The purpose of these guidelines are to coordinate the proper use of law
enforcement services of the Florida Highway Patrol on selected District One
construction projects. Law Enforcement officers will enforce the speed
control through work zones, which is tried and proven to be very effective
in reducing speeding in active construction zones. Law Enforcement services
on Florida Department Of Transportation, (FDOT), projects is there to
protect work zone personnel and motorists during construction activities.
This service is a limited time service, but it will leave long term effects
on motorists when driving through work zones.
