Consultant Process for Obtaining OpenText

The necessary steps to obtain the OpenText product are below.

 

Note: Vendors doing business with FDOT (CEI's, etc.) will require a single named user license for each vendor site (physical location) rather than tracking individual names for vendor staff within a site.  Vendors may purchase licenses directly from OpenText, however, the license is only valid for use with FDOT applications.

  1. Read and follow the steps outlined in the Consultant Access Account Request Instructions prior to filling out the Computer Security Access Request form:

    Submit a completed Computer Security Access Request form (325-060-05). Both the EDMS and VPN addendums on this form must be completed.
     
  2. Obtain VPN Connection to the DOT Network.
     
  3. Complete the FDOT OpenText Order Form to purchase a license for Hummingbird.

  1. Once you have received access to the FDOT network and received an OpenText license, then contact the EDMS Coordinator.

  1. Coordinate with the District EDMS Coordinator or District' Helpdesk to open a help desk call. A technician will assist with the downloading of the EDMS software to the Consultant's computer(s).  FDOT District help desk numbers are listed here.
