Consultant Process for Obtaining OpenText

The necessary steps to obtain the
OpenText product are below.
Note: Vendors doing business with FDOT (CEI's, etc.) will require a single named user license for each vendor site (physical location) rather than tracking individual names for vendor staff within a site. Vendors may purchase licenses directly from OpenText, however, the license is only valid for use with FDOT applications.
- Read and follow the steps outlined in the
Consultant Access Account Request Instructions prior to filling out the Computer
Security Access Request form:
Submit a completed Computer Security Access Request form (325-060-05). Both the EDMS and VPN addendums on this form must be completed.
- Obtain VPN Connection to the DOT Network.
- Complete the
FDOT
OpenText Order Form to purchase a license for Hummingbird.

- Once you have received access to the FDOT network and received an
OpenText license, then
contact the EDMS Coordinator.

- Coordinate with the District EDMS Coordinator or District' Helpdesk to open a help desk call. A technician will assist with the downloading of the EDMS software to the Consultant's computer(s). FDOT District help desk numbers are listed here.
