       Prior to receipt of a bid document, prospective bidders shall demonstrate experience in the
       construction and operation of wastewater treatment plants.  Bidders must include a listing of a
       minimum of three (3) similar or larger sizes of wastewater treatment plants constructed in the
       state of Florida by its own forces and at least one facility that the firm has operated. References
       must include project information, location, facility size and contact person with contact
       information. This information must be received in the Department Contracts Administration Office by
       no later than 5:00 PM on February 12, 2010.  The information must be emailed to contracts.admin@dot.
       state.fl.us or mailed to Contracts Administration, Florida Department of Transportation, 605
       Suwannee Street, MS-55, Tallahassee, FL  32399.

       THE LOW BIDDER MUST PROVIDE EVIDENCE TO THE FDOT CONTRACTS ADMINISTRATION OFFICE PRIOR TO AWARD
       THAT THE CONTRACTOR OR SUBCONTRACTOR PERFORMING THE PAINTING, REHABILITATION OR DEMOLITION WORK ON
       THE COMPONENTS COATED WITH LEAD BASED PAINT IS CURRENTLY QP1, QP2 CATEGORY "A" AND QP3 CERTIFIED BY
       THE SOCIETY FOR PROTECTIVE COATINGS, AS REQUIRED BY THE SPECIFICATIONS.  QUALIFICATION PER RULE
       14-22 F.A.C. IS NOT REQUIRED TO BID ON THIS PROJECT.

       The improvements under this contract consist of removing the existing waste water plant and
       constructing a new in ground concrete waste water treatment plant in the southbound rest area of
       I-75.
