Office of Information Technology
The Office of Information Technology (OIT) is a division-level
organization within the Florida Department of Transportation. OIT
supports the Department's five-year work program by managing an
automated information-processing environment that is reliable,
secure, cost-effective and responsive. OIT program resources are
employed to educate department personnel in the use and application
of information technology to accomplish the objectives and
operations of the Department. OIT activities and resources provide
for the processing, storing and retrieval of data, system
development and maintenance, statewide computer network management,
information security administration, and general information
consulting services supporting the Department.
The Agency Chief Information Officer (CIO) serves as the director of OIT. There are 3 primary offices within OIT headed by an office manager who reports to the Chief Information Officer. These primary offices are the OIT Business Office, the Business Systems Support Office, and the Technology Services and Support Office.
