The Office of Information Systems (OIS) is a division-level organization within the Florida Department
of Transportation. OIS supports the Department's five-year work program by managing an automated
information-processing environment that is reliable, secure, cost-effective and responsive. OIS program resources
are employed to educate department personnel in the use and application of information technology to accomplish
the objectives and operations of the Department. OIS activities and resources provide for the processing, storing
and retrieval of data, system development and maintenance, statewide computer network
management, information security administration, and general information consulting services supporting the Department.
In accordance with
Section 282.3055 Florida Statutes, the Agency Chief Information Officer (CIO) serves as the
director of OIS.
There are 3 primary offices within OIS headed by an office manager who reports to the
Chief Information Officer. These primary offices are the Computer
Services Office, the Business Systems Support Office, and the
District Information Systems Office. To learn more

It is the VISION of the Office of Information Systems that the computer users within the Department of Transportation
have easy access to technology, the use of which is intuitive and enables them to productively meet the requirements
of their jobs.
It is the MISSION of the Office of Information Systems to meet the requirements of customers who use computer-generated
information by providing and supporting technology, systems, and services that are reliable, available, and protected.
