Office of the General Counsel

The Office of General Counsel is the statewide legal office for the Department of Transportation. It provides legal advice and representation to all of the Department's programs and administrative staff throughout Florida. The lawyers of the Office of General Counsel provide legal counsel to the Secretary, the Florida Rail Enterprise, the Florida Turnpike Enterprise, management and all Department employees through 9 locations. The Office also provides information regarding the Department to the Governor, Cabinet, the Court system, the Legislature, and other federal, state and local government agencies. Our lawyers have expertise in the following areas, among others:
